Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, a Division of Iowa Workforce Development and hereafter known as IVRS, and the Iowa Department of Education, hereafter known as the DE, both share responsibility to prepare students with disabilities for successful community employment. Both entities are responsible for transition services and the continuous improvement of services provided by each entity, in collaboration with each other will result in improved employment outcomes. The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate the integration and coordination of these transition services from school to post-secondary education and/or employment, for students with disabilities who are enrolled in secondary education and are eligible, or potentially eligible, to receive vocational rehabilitation services.
