This Agreement shall be for the purpose of NASA GRC and Miami University to collaborate and share data regarding the health of Smooth Greensnakes, protected under the Endangered Species Act, at the clade, regional, and population levels across the State of Ohio. This activity will benefit NASA by maintaining up to date records for the listed species, and ensuring projects mitigate adverse effects and improve the accuracy of regulatory consultations, which is in line with the NASA Environmental Policy to protect and preserve the environment and Environmental Management System (EMS) priority metric goals. This activity will benefit the Miami University by receiving site access to an important location with respect to the overall range of the species, the proximity to extirpated populations, and its potential as a contact or delineating area between the eastern and western lineages of the Smooth Greensnake.
