When serving Mass I promise to dress appropriately and to come promptly as defined below. I promise to do this because serving as a minister of the Church requires proper reverence. This reverence to God means that the church should be different from other places. Appropriate dress clothes should be worn by the Church’s ministers. Promptness to Mass is also an expectation. As a server, I am not simply a helper, but an example of leadership to my peers and to the community.
