SIDE LETTER AGREEMENT BETWEENSide Letter Agreement • July 17th, 2023
The County and the Union have a shared goal of ensuring the most effective and efficient delivery of IHSS services to all IHSS constituents while regularly achieving the State requirements relating to these services. Accordingly, the parties agree that staff and leadership must collaboratively reassess and review our existing operational structure/s to best meet the needs of our community and improve the experience and effectiveness of our staff. Input and ideas from representatives across all IHSS classifications and work areas will be critical to creating better workflow structures. To that end, the County and Union agree to create a joint committee effective upon ratification of this Agreement to collaboratively participate in a continuous quality improvement process to explore new approaches to doing this work through the redesign committee.
