In November 2021, the governments of Namibia and The Netherlands started a structured dialogue on the cooperation in the field of energy resources, specifically in green hydrogen, by signing a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the National Planning Commission of Namibia and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of The Netherlands. The foundation of this agreement was laid to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of energy resources on the basis of mutual social, economic and environmental benefit in order to promote sustainable development including decarbonization of both economies.
