A subletting agreement can be made when a tenant of Soihtu rents a part of the apartment for another person’s use while still living in the apartment. The parties in the sublease relationship are sublessor and subtenant. It is not possible to sublet a room in a shared apartment, a studio or part of them. The sublessor is obliged to inform the subtenant on what the subtenant's right to lease or other right to use the apartment is based on (AVHL 1995/481).
