At the heart of Work Package 12 is a seven-country survey designed to extend procedural justice theory in two new directions. The first is to address the role of legitimacy in the context of new form of crimes, like illegal downloading. The second is to consider people’s perceptions of the legitimacy of justice institutions in European jurisdictions other than their own.
