The BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY ("University" or "NIU") and Condinitha ("Connie") Teaberry ("Employee," "Coach" or "Director") have entered into this Director of Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Employment Agreement ("Employment Agreement" or "Agreement") because the University desires to employ the Employee subject to state law and University regulations and the Employee desires to serve as Director of the University's Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Team and to serve the entire term of this Employment Agreement. Both parties acknowledge that a long-term commitment by the University and the Employee is critical to the University's desire to operate a stable athletics program. The University and the Employee agree that head coaches of intercollegiate athletic teams at the University conduct their professional activities under circumstances unique in the family of University employees, including evaluation and scrutiny of team performances and individual
