The purpose of this collective agreement is to maintain harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships between the Employees, the Union, and the Employer; to set forth certain terms and conditions of employment affecting employees covered by this agreement and to ensure that all reasonable measures are provided for the safety and occupational health of the employees. The Parties recognize that the business in which the Company is engaged is highly competitive and that the Company must be able to maintain an efficientoperation and continuallyimprove its productivity in a strong, competitive market, and the Union agrees to be flexible and support the Company in attaining these objectives.
