In accordance with Appendix I, Section V, of the UIIA, all participants are hereby noticed of a proposed modification to remove all references to the AAR TOFC/COFC Interchange Rules in the UIIA, which are currently contained in Section D.3.d.(3), Equipment Condition and Exhibit C, Interior - Contamination. Based on the results of an analysis conducted of the AAR Rules, Sections B, F and G versus the UIIA and Exhibits B and C to the Agreement, the Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee (IIEC) unanimously approved the decision to remove the AAR TOFC/COFC Interchange Rules references at its July 31, 2014 meeting. The Committee determined that the reference to this extrinsic document was no longer necessary as the UIIA provisions including the Exhibits can stand on their own. For your convenience, the language slated to be removed from the Agreement is shown on the following page. [Revisions noted with strikethrough]
