At the April 21, 2020, City Commission meeting, the Commission authorized the Mayor to sign a letter to the Corps of Engineer’s (COE) requesting consideration for certain betterments be included in the upcoming project to improve the Manhattan Levee system. This letter provided for several additional project requests beyond the original betterments request letter, which was authorized at the December 3, 2019, meeting.
