AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND PUBLIC CONSULTING GROUP, INC. THIS AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , 20 , by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, hereinafter called "County," and PUBLIC CONSULTING GROUP, INC., hereinafter called "Contractor"; W I T N E S S E T H: WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 31000, County may contract with independent contractors for the furnishing of such services to or for County or any Department thereof; WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that Contractor be retained for the purpose of aiding dependents and youth approaching emancipation to receive any federal SSI, Social Security, Retirement, Survivor or Disability Insurance benefits to which they are entitled. The County is mandated by California Assembly Bill 1633 to ensure there is a viable process for establishing these benefits for this vulnerable population; and WHEREAS, on June 8, 2009, the County Manager’s Office approved Agreement
