The object of this Agreement is to stabilize the Industry, elevate the Trade and to promote peace and harmony between Employers and Ironworkers, to facil- itate the peaceful adjustments of all disputes and griev- ances, to prevent strikes and lockouts, waste, expense, avoidable and unnecessary delays in con- struction and repair work. Both parties to this Agreement are committed to providing safe work sites and safe work practices.
