DISCUSSION: Marzano Research will provide a Proficiency Scale and Learning Goals Workshop. The workshop will: provide ways to organize standards into progressions of knowledge for essential topics and embed those progressions in scoring rubrics, learn to use proficiency scales to provide meaningful feedback to students and track their progress over time, understand how proficiency scales can be used to plan for and deliver instruction in classrooms and construct both formative and summative assessments that align with the proficiency scales. CONTRACT TERM: The contract shall be valid through October 16, 2015. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Dr. Teresa Wright, Director of Early Childhood Education & Title I and Victoria Finsted, Principal of Christa McAuliffe Elementary, to approve the attached agreement with Marzano Research in the amount of $6,000.00.
