THIS SPONSORED RESEARCH AGREEMENT (this “Agreement”) is made and entered into as of March 15th, 2023 or its publication in the Register of Contracts in accordance with Act No. 340/2015 Coll. of the Czech Republic, on Special Conditions for the Effectiveness of Certain Contracts, Publication of Such Contracts and on the Register of Contracts (Act on the Register of Contracts), whichever occurs later, (“Effective Date”) between BIOMARIN PHARMACEUTICAL INC., a Delaware corporation, having its principal place of business at 105 Digital Drive, Novato, CA 94949, (“BioMarin”) and Masaryk University with seat at Žerotínovo nám. 617/9, 601 77 Brno Czech Republic Faculty of Medicine, a Czech public institution, located at Kamenice 5, 625 00 Brno-Bohunice (“Institution”). BioMarin and Institution are each individually referred to herein as a “Party” and collectively as the “Parties.”
