The Hydrogen Materials - Advanced Research Consortium (HyMARC) is a multi-laboratory Energy Materials Network (EMN) consortium whose charter is to discover and/or facilitate discovery of new hydrogen storage materials or hybrid material systems that meet or exceed the capabilities of current high-pressure (700 bar) onboard hydrogen storage tanks. The HyMARC EMN will provide the fundamental understanding of phenomena governing thermodynamics and kinetics necessary to enable the development of solid-phase storage materials. The ambitious end-of-project goal is a set of ready- to-use resources: 1) on-line codes for thermodynamic phase diagrams and multi-physics of hydrogen storage material kinetics, including surface and interface effects; 2) sorbent and hydride on-line databases; 3) synthetic protocols for evaluating novel storage concepts; and 4) new characterization tools specifically optimized for in-situ probing of hydrogen storage materials, accessible to the user community via coll
