The current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement includes an undertaking by the parties to review the Grievance Review provisions of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act. During 2002-2003 an independent review of the section 59 grievance process was undertaken. The review included extensive consultation with agencies and unions and a selection of employees who had accessed the section 59 review process.
