As a medical student you will study for a University degree that automatically allows you to work as a doctor during Foundation Year 1. During your student years some of your training will take place in a medical environment. Therefore, it is essential that you can fulfil the requirements based on General Medical Council statements on the duties of a doctor as outlined in Good Medical Practice (March 2013) and in the GMC Standards for medical education & training (July 2015).
