(MOHLTC) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) includes a provision for the development of permanent acuity modifier to adjust payments to primary care physician who roster acute patients. While the permanent Acuity Modifier is being developed, the PSA calls for a one-time $40 million Interim Acuity Modifier payment. The calculations and payment methodology for the interim Acuity Modifier have been approved by the MOHLTC and the OMA through the Physician Services Committee and the payment is being made to all eligible primary care physicians on their January 2014 Remittance Advice.
