The USAID-funded Comprehensive Systems of Care (CSOC) Project began on June 29, 2006. The project is being implemented in the Russian North Caucasus by Keystone Service Systems, Inc. through the provision of a series of targeted facility-, home-, and community-based services to address the immediate psychological, educational, and health needs of vulnerable children and families. These systems, currently in progress in North Ossetia and with Project activities to be initiated in Kabardino-Balkaria, are being developed around the principles of being child-centered, family-driven, strength-based, culturally competent, and involving interagency collaboration. With the input from local North Caucasus Program staff and regional partners, Keystone is assuring that services provided follow each of these principles, as well as focus on the family's capacity to remain intact.
