The issuing company, the Licensor, provides the licensee with the necessary expertise and technical support. The licensee shall pay the Licensor a percentage of all products sold by the Licensee. Sometimes such an agreement also applies to a licensor who acquires an advantage over the Licensee, and the parties may wish to set up a joint venture in which the Licensor has an equity interest and to receive royalties.
