A minimum of 10% of all passengers’ baggage should be searched on each flight, or as an average across all flights conducted and it is critical that all reasonable steps are taken to prevent prohibited items including spare Lithium Batteries/ Powerbanks, or PEDs not switched off, being carried in the aircraft hold. The searches can be conducted by hand or by utilising operator approved hand-held detectors.
