The California Standard Lease Agreement discloses pertinent information on a settlement for the leasing of real estate to a written record. Many leases can last twelve (12) months or more, and for such a length of time, it is recommended to document the event to form a better understanding of the promises made. Securing the information to a registering document can allow both the lessor and lessee a drafted account of the terms and conditions to the rental. Included in the contract are stipulations as to how the lease will be carried out, the names of the occupant(s) and the owner(s), necessary payments, method of payment, required security deposit, and lease termination date. When all parties have agreed to the provisions therein, they can then sign and date the form to complete the compact.
