The Mendocino County Superintendent of Schools and the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees, Local 4345 of the American Federation of Teachers, recognize that they have a responsibility to work toward the achievement of a quality education for every student. With the advent of a collective bargaining relationship, the Superintendent, and the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees, have embarked upon a democratic method of problem solving. As the parties pursue their individual interests with mutual respect, understanding and cooperation, their efforts will merge to produce the common goal of quality education in Mendocino County. To this end, they have jointly entered into this Agreement.
