This marine notice sets out the terms of the agreement between SAMSA and participating companies registered with the African Paddling Association who apply the APA “Codes of Safety Conduct” as well as the relevant “Operating Standards”. The agreement provides for exemptions from certain Regulations relating to the provision of Local General Safety Certificates and manning requirements where industry standards are maintained. Participating companies will be subject to annual audits by SAMSA to ensure adequate levels of compliance.
