This Settlement Agreement and Release is entered into by named Plaintiffs Karen McNeil, Lesley Johnson, Indya Hilfort, Lucinda Brandon, the Estate of Tanya Mitchell, and Victor Gray (collectively, the “Named Plaintiffs”), and Defendants Giles County (“County”) and the Giles County Sheriff (“Sheriff”) (collectively, the “County Defendants”) in order to effect a full and final settlement and dismissal with prejudice of all claims against Defendants as alleged in the case captioned McNeil, et al. v. Cmty. Prob. Servs., LLC, et al., Case No. 1:18-cv-00033 (M.D. Tenn. Apr. 23, 2018), as well as related appeals, McNeil v. Cmty. Prob. Servs, LLC, Case No. 19-5660, 803 Fed. App’x 846 (6th Cir. Feb. 28, 2020); McNeil v. Cmty. Prob. Servs LLC, Case No. 19-5262, 945 F.3d 991 (6th Cir. 2019) (collectively, the “Litigation”), on the terms set forth below and to the full extent reflected herein, subject to approval of the Court.
