Faisalabad is the third largest city of Pakistan with present estimated population of 3.4 million, located in the central part of the Punjab Province and has developed as an Industrial City. At present, the population served with water supply and sewerage facilities is about 70%. Ground water of city is brackish potable is transported from 35km away from city. At present the 110 mgd water is being supplied to the city, including 15 mgd water recently provided under French Funded Project. Improvement of distribution system is essential to enhance coverage and meet goal. Presently population of served areas is facing shortage of water pressure.
