* POLICY NAME: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Academic Partnership Policy (BSN-APP) * POLICY TYPE: Presidential Policy - University Academic Policy POLICY #: D.1.9. *STATUS: Active *CONTACT OFFICE: Office of the Provost *OVERSIGHT EXECUTIVE: Associate Provost for Academic Affairs *APPLIES TO: Students, Registrar, Office of Academic Services, all academic departments *PURPOSE: This agreement is designed for UMW students who are interested in earning a pre-licensure Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in nursing from GCC and a post-licensure Bachelor of Science in nursing from UMW and does not apply to any other degree program at GCC or UMW. DEFINITIONS: *POLICY STATEMENT: Students will be admitted to UMW as Pre-BSN. Year 1: During the freshman year students will complete required liberal arts and nursing prerequisite courses at UMW.
