There was an earlier Agreement signed between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. The text of this Agreement which was signed on 8 May 1990 and effective from 1 January 1992 is shown in Annex A.
