The primary purpose of the School Resource Officer Program (SRO) is to accomplish a reduction and prevent crimes committed by juveniles and young adults. This is accomplished by assigning officers to school facilities on a permanent basis. The SRO Program establishes goals and objectives designed to develop and enhance the relationship between the youth, police officers and the school administrators. The officers that are selected for this program are responsible for establishing and helping maintain good productive communications that allow for a free flow of information between the parties.
