Attached for your consideration is an updated Polk County Library Cooperative Interlocal Agreement. The Polk County Library Cooperative was formed on October 1, 1997, when an Interlocal Agreement was entered into between the Polk County Board of County Commissioners and the thirteen (13) municipalities with public libraries in the County: Auburndale, Bartow, Dundee, Eagle Lake, Fort Meade, Frostproof, Haines City, Lake Alfred, Lake Wales, Lakeland, Mulberry, Polk City, and Winter Haven. Over the years, the Interlocal agreement has been reviewed and renewed to continue the delivery of seamless public library services for all residents of Polk County.

SYNOPSIS: The Interlocal Agreement will allow the Lake Wales Public Library to continue receiving revenues to reimburse the community for the cost of library service provided to unincorporated residents of Polk County, along with the benefits and services provided by the Polk County Library Cooperative.

Interlocal Agreement • May 26th, 2010

SYNOPSIS: The current Interlocal Agreement between the City of Lake Wales, the Polk County Library Cooperative and the Polk County Board of County Commission expires September 30, 2010. Approval of this Interlocal Agreement will allow the City of Lake Wales to continue to participate in the Polk County Library Cooperative and provide services to non-City of Lake Wales’ residents.
