This memorandum of understanding by and between the NORTH DAKOTA STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, hereinafter called the "STATE," and the REGIONAL FORESTER of the NORTHERN REGION, UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FOREST SERVICE, hereinafter called the "FOREST SERVICE," establishes procedures for coordinating the location, construction, maintenance, signing, access, protection, conservation of environment, control of pollution, and other matters related to State highway development, use, and occupancy of National Forest System lands, working through the Forest Service North Dakota Coordinator.
