The purpose is for a Joint Committee of Carterton District Council, Greater Wellington Regional Council, Hutt City Council, Kapiti Coast District Council, Masterton District Council, Porirua City Council, South Wairarapa District Council, Upper Hutt City Council, Wellington City Council, Horowhenua District Council and mana whenua to take responsibility for key matters of regional importance where a collective voice and collective regional planning and action is required.
