The revised SMPA was executed on June 20, 2005, to reflect significant events and changed conditions that had occurred since the original SMPA was signed. The objective of the SMPA is to assure that a dependable water supply is maintained to mitigate the adverse effects on the Marsh from the Central Valley Project (CVP) and State Water Project (SWP) and a portion of the adverse effects of the other upstream diversions.
