The Ventura Water Reclamation Facility (VWRF) utilizes a contractor for the transportation, disposal, and beneficial reuse of biosolids, which are produced as a result of tertiary treatment of wastewater. In March 2023 staff solicited bids for these services, the sole bidder was Synagro West, LLC. Staff recommends awarding a contract for an initial two-year term with the option to extend for up to three additional one-year terms. The total amount for the initial term is $1,431,925; the total-not-to exceed amount if all three additional one-year extensions are executed is $4,102,325.
