In a reliable and co-operative manner, all Lynx! members who use the cataloging module agree and acknowledge that: everyone’s main focus is the ease of the customer whenever possible ; everyone knows the current accepted cataloging standards (AACR2 with LCRIs or RDA with LC-PCC PS) ; everyone will follow these established cataloging rules ; while there are different levels of cataloging knowledge and expertise represented throughout the consortium, any person inputting bibliographic records into the system will have a working knowledge of cataloging ; and everyone will maintain open communications with each other as well as collaborate, support, and assist when needed to ensure the best possible public service for all concerned. Boise Public Library has primary responsibility for authority maintenance and management in the database but all libraries are responsible for maintaining their own holdings and items.
