Asynchronous Broadcast (known as A-cast) and Asynchronous Byzantine Agreement (ABA) are the fundamental primitives used as a building block in many asynchronous distributed crypto- graphic tasks, such as Asynchronous Multiparty Computation (AMPC), Asynchronous Verifiable Secret Sharing (AVSS) etc. The A-cast and ABA protocols are carried out among n parties, where t out of n parties can be under the influence of a Byzantine (active) adversary, having unbounded computing power.
