Micro-expressions are involuntary and transient facial expressions capable of revealing the genuine emotions that people attempt to hide. Therefore, micro-expressions can provide important information in a broad range of applications such as lie detection, criminal detection, etc. Shandong University will provide the MMEW free of charge to micro- expression recognition researchers in order to promote the research in the above-mentioned fields.
