In 2007, the Department of Human Services-Adult Mental Health Division (DHS-AMHD) entered into an Interagency Agreement with Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) to provide operating subsidy in combination with capital funding to expand housing opportunities for adults with serious mental illness. The Housing with Supports for Adults with Serious Mental Illness (HSASMI) funds were integrated into the MHFA Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Operating Subsidy program and are administered in cooperation with DHS-AMHD through the HTF Rules.
