This agreement is between (“Business”) and the City of Cordova, Alaska (“City”). Both City and Business acknowledge that COVID-19 is a national pandemic that poses a substantial risk to public health, safety, and welfare within the City. As a result, the City has implemented Temporary COVID-19 Emergency Rules to protect and preserve the health and safety of Cordova’s residents and its visitors. City also disseminates public health information regarding COVID-19 on its website at http://covid19.cityofcordova.net. While both the City and Business acknowledge the importance of Business’s right to engage in lawful business within the City without interference by local government, both parties recognize that the significant risk posed to public health and safety requires both Business and City to take measures to protect Business, his, her or its employees, the Cordova community, and the greater Alaskan community, from the spread of COVID-19.
