The Department of Energy strives to increase subcontracting opportunities by encouraging prime contractors to assist small disadvantaged businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned companies, through the Mentor-Protégé Program. This program provides a number of benefits that include preferential contracting opportunities and long-term teaming relationships between the Mentor and Protégé. LRS continues their relationship with ORNL which began in 2006 when they signed a Memorandum of Agreement to cooperate in Technology Evaluation, Demonstration and Implementation.
