This year, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has introduced a new requirement that each Ontario university sign an agreement with the provincial gov- ernment that indicates how it will contribute towards the achievement of the goals of the Reaching Higher plan announced in the 2005 budget. These multi-year agreements or MYAs provide a performance framework for universities with a series of indicators, some mandated by the government and others that are selected by the individual institu- tions in relation to their specific missions and goals. The Ministry has provided a tem- plate for us to complete and I have attached our draft MYA. The UOIT content is high- lighted.
