This must be kept in mind throughout the various provisions of the agreement. Specifying the identities of the involved parties ensures that all parties know Licensor and Company (Licensee). This allows for the parties to verify who owns the claimed invention (licensor) and who intends to commercialize the claimed invention (licensee). An alternative to the term “Company” could be “Licensee.”
