The “LGBT Purge” refers to actions taken by the Government of Canada to identify, investigate, sanction, and in some cases, terminate employment or release LGBT members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Federal Public Service employees between 1955 and 1996. You may be eligible to submit a claim for financial compensation and/or individual reconciliation measures as part of a Final Settlement Agreement related to the “LGBT Purge”.
