Contract Type FiledMay 5th, 2020This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) constitutes an agreement between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), pursuant to which ICE delegates to nominated, trained, certified, and authorized HCSO personnel the authority to perform certain immigration enforcement functions as specified herein. It is the intent of the parties that these delegated authorities will enable the HCSO to identify and process for removal, under ICE supervision, aliens in HCSO jail/correctional facilities who fall within ICE’s civil immigration enforcement priorities. The HCSO and ICE enter into this MOA in good faith and agree to abide by the terms and conditions contained herein.
