The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations at 7 CFR §226.6(b)(4) require state agencies (SAs) to enter into a permanent written agreement with each institution that has been approved for CACFP participation. The term “permanent” means only that the agreement has no predetermined expiration date and does need to be renewed; it does not eliminate the need for an institution to comply with periodic reapplication provisions.
