The purpose of this annex shall be to complete a proof-of-concept laboratory test of the Partner's novel Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Electrical Generators. The MHD generators offer the means to harvest power from space plasma environments. The concept offers a non-nuclear alternative to solar arrays. The technology promises to deliver power even in the absence of sunlight, as long as there is space plasma present. To advance this technology will require the use of MSFC's High Intensity Solar Environment Test (HISET) facility. Using systems developed for the Parker Solar Probe, the HISET facility will generate drifting plasma environments allowing the MHD electrical generator test articles to create power.
