THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 23rd day of Octo­ ber, 1983, between GIANT FOOD INC., (hereinafter referred to as “Employer”), a participating member of Washington, D.C. Food Em­ ployers’ Labor Relations Association (hereinafter referred to as “Em­ ployers’ Council”) and the UNITED FOOD AND COMMERCIAL WORKERS UNION, LOCAL 400 of Washington, D.C. chartered by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, AFL- CIO (hereinafter referred to as the “Union”).
