The Department of Public Works has budgeted $25,000 in our 2020 budget to inspect and evaluate our small roadway bridges (under 20’ in length) and crossroad culverts. Given the amount budgeted for 2020, the Department is planning a multi-year approach to complete the inspection of our 44 structures (22 small vehicular bridges, 19 pedestrian bridges, 3 pedestrian tunnel’s), along with an unknown number of crossroad culverts. For 2020, we are proposing to inspect 24 small span (under 20’) bridges and up to 50 culverts. In 2021, assuming another $25,000 is available, we hope to compete the remaining pedestrian bridges / tunnels and culverts within the City.
