Parties This Framework Financing Agreement (“FFA”) dated 13 JANUARY 2009 is between the Republic of Kazakhstan (the “Borrower”) and Asian Development Bank (“ADB”). MFFInvestment Program The Borrower regards as a high priority and will implement the Western Europe-Western PRC International Transit Corridor, which includes the CAREC Transport Corridor I (Zhambyl Oblast Sections) Investment Program (the “Investment Program”) and is an integral part of the Ministry of Transport and Communications’ (MOTC) Road Development Program for 2006 – 2012 setting out a roadmap for the entire Corridor development plan (the “Roadmap”). Both the Investment Program and the Roadmap for the Corridor are described in Schedule 1 hereto. The total cost of the Investment Program over the period 2008 to 2014 is expected to be $1,480 million equivalent.
